Team Millennia Challenge 2010

March 8th, 2010 by cupid

As Springtime hits Brighton and residents of the town throw out their alarm clocks because the seagulls and sunshine do a much better job, nine event co-ordinators from Millennia Events have decided it’s time for a challenge. This years chosen challenge – the London to Brighton bike race in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Team Millennia

The team, consisting of Paul Williams (Team Leader), Alasdair Adam, Sarah-Jayne Williams, James Stenning, Kate Robertson, Claire Buckley, Sophie Parry, Ben Corlett and Lisa Busby are all training hard with daily bike rides to and from work and also plenty of swimming and yoga to improve flexibility and avoid injury.

“We’re delighted to be working hard to achieve our own personal fitness goals as well as raising money for such a worthy charity.” Paul Williams (Team Leader)

Christmas Apple Pancakes

February 16th, 2010 by cupid

Add a Christmasy twist to your pancake day this year and try these delicious Christmas Apple Pancakes, recipe courtesy of the wonderful Jamie Oliver.

Christmas Apple Pancakes

Ingredients

* 200g (7oz) self-raising flour
* 300ml (10fl oz) milk
* 1 large egg, preferably free-range or organic
* Pinch of sea salt
* 1 pear
* A few knobs of butter
* Natural yoghurt, to serve
* Runny honey, to serve

Method

1. Put the flour, milk, egg and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. Once combined, grate in the pear, core and all, then stir it through with a spoon. Put a large pan on a medium heat and add a knob of butter. Once that melts, add the batter, a spoonful at a time.
2. You’ll need to cook the pancakes in batches, cooking them for a few minutes until golden on the bottom then flipping them over and cooking for a few minutes more until they’re done.
3. When they’re golden and fluffy, serve them right away with a dollop of natural yoghurt and some runny honey drizzled all over the top.

’tis the season for booking your Christmas party

February 4th, 2010 by cupid

As with many things in life, early booking of your office Christmas party reaps multiple benefits. Not only will you have the pick of the most prestigious party venues in your area, you will also be able to choose the perfect date to suit your company’s busy Christmas schedule.

Before you begin your search for the perfect Christmas party it’s a good idea to asses whether your company is most suited to a shared or exclusive event.

Shared Parties

Shared parties are a fantastic option for smaller groups looking for a great, hassle free event. Shared parties range from a total capacity of between 50 and 2,000 and can be a traditional festive dinner and disco or a party extravaganza complete with themeing, stage shows, pyrotechnics and more. By joining a shared party you and your colleagues will enjoy a great party atmosphere with the chance to meet and celebrate with other groups.
